I am a data scientist, engineer and educator from Singapore.

I am currently a data scientist at the National Centre for Food Science, a division of the Singapore Food Agency, where I work with food scientists to monitor food safety. Previously, I was a research engineer at the SPIRIT research centre in Nanyang Technological University. The research centre collaborates with government agencies and provides research and development for proof-of-concept projects in artificial intelligence and information systems.

I enjoy teaching programming and data science to students of all ages. I was a mathematics teacher and book editor earlier in my career. I taught mathematics in international schools in Singapore and China, and worked on mathematics and computing textbooks at an education publisher in Singapore.

I have a BSc in physics and a MSc in statistics from NUS, and a MSc in Artificial Intelligence from NTU. I will always be an avid learner of mathematics and computer science.

I am married to the love of my life and we have a little foodie and two cats. I enjoy reading, movies, music, football, wholesome food, travelling and playing Lego with my boy.
